Even Greek mythology points us back to scripture. Icarus, the haughty young man who disregarded the advice of his father, Daedalus, flew too near the sun, melting his wings and casting him to his death. In Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told “Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways submit to the LORD and He will make your paths straight.”
