The name “Early Autumn Frost” is a poignant memory of my childhood in Minnesota where hardwoods such as Red Oak and Norway Maple would occasionally get frosted early and the edges of their leaves would glitter as if coated with diamond dust, before prematurely falling to the ground. This piece is pictured fired and at the leather-hard stage (still a little moisture) after having been burnished with a small rose quartz pebble to give it a nice shine and smooth surface.\
